Are There Any Texas-based online MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Programs?
Working as an RN is a rewarding and valuable career, but after a few years in the field, many RNs start to look for ways to advance their careers to take on more advanced roles and negotiate higher pay. One great way that RNs can do this is through an MSN degree program. MSN programs build on your prior knowledge and experience as an RN and allow you to work in a more specialized practitioner role.
Among the many specialized tracks you can find available as a nurse practitioner through master ’s-level education is the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) concentration. MSN-FNP degree programs prepare you to engage in direct advanced practice with families, children, and individuals in a variety of clinical settings.
Another great aspect of these degree programs is that many of them are available online, which creates a flexible, and often affordable, educational experience. If you’re looking for an online MSN-FNP degree program based in Texas, take a look at the options below:
University of Texas (Arlington, Tyler)

This means that while your coursework will be mostly online, you will still need to have access to either UTs Arlington or Tyler campuses for clinical requirements.
Apart from the flexibility that the University of Texas’ online MSN - FNP program offers, another attractive aspect of the program is affordability. For many, this program can be completed in under 36 months and only cost $30,084.
