Personal Review About Cochran School of Nursing

I’m a recent graduate of Cochran school of nursing and I would like to share my experience at the facility. First of all, the professors are very knowledgeable in their field. They were understanding when I was struggling with any concepts that needed further clarification or review.

The instructors were very well educated and made the classes interesting. They definitely knew what they were talking about when it came to their courses and clinical practice. The management team was helpful whenever I needed something, and the staff helped me in many ways.

What I Learned at Cochran School of Nursing

Aside from the specialized techniques in nursing practice, Cochran School of Nursing provided a lot more benefits that I think made me a better candidate for my future career. The classes were informative and were taught in many different ways.

The staff helped you in any way they could when it came to academics and clinical practice. They were very good at guiding students to internship opportunities within the area, as well as employment possibilities after graduation. Above all, they had an open-door policy for students and faculty members which is something not many schools have these days.

As a graduate of Cochran’s associate degree program, I am proud to say that their education prepared me for my career as a registered nurse. Here are some of the most important things I learned:

  • Professional leadership skills
  • Creating rapport with others
  • In order for nurses to be successful in their careers, they must know exactly how to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients. I was able to learn techniques on how to create trust among other team members by using effective communication skills such as active listening.
  • Self-Care. A more experienced nurse once told me that self-care is important because we can’t care for others.

I also learned that patients and their families really appreciate it when nurses take the time to explain what is going on with their health, and one way to do this effectively is through leadership. I learned a lot about how to interact and communicate with patients and their loved ones in various ways, such as authoritative, empathetic, or coaching styles.

For students who feel overwhelmed by courses such as pathophysiology and pharmacology, Cochran School of Nursing provides adequate resources and strategies for success inside and outside of class.

The clinical setting was a hands-on experience that provided me with practical knowledge that I can use in my profession as a nurse practitioner. And above all else, the faculty members at Cochran School of Nursing were very helpful whenever you had questions.

Cochran School of Nursing met my Expectations

Cochran School of nursing was everything I expected it to be and more. The professors are very knowledgeable, the staff is helpful, and they have great resources for students.

As a student nurse, you will work with patients from different backgrounds which prepares you for any situation that could arise in future employment. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for their R.N.- Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree.
